Office Hours

Emergencies
Our physicians are affiliated with North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park and St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn. In case of an emergency and the office is closed,
please go to the emergency department at one of these hospitals and request that a physician from our practice be called. Some emergencies can be handled in our office. If our office is open, please call our office at (516) 627-8717 before going to the emergency room.

After Hours Urgent Medical Needs
If you have an urgent medical need and need to talk to our doctors after our regular hours, please call Orthopaedic Associates of Manhasset at (516) 627-8717. A doctor is on-call 24 hours a day. Your call will be returned promptly.

Insurance & Payment
Orthopaedic Associates of Manhasset is a preferred provider for most major health plans serving the New York region, and we accept Medicare and Workers’ Compensation. Please contact your insurance company or you may call our office at (516) 627-8717 to find out if we accept your insurance plan.
If your insurance plan requires you to pay a co-payment, co-insurance, and/or a deductible, it will be necessary to pay at the time of your visit. Payment will also be required for all non-covered services. For your convenience we accept cash, checks, Visa and MasterCard. If you do not have insurance, we can arrange a payment plan for you.

Referrals
If your insurance is an HMO/managed care plan and you are required to obtain a referral from your primary care physician, the referral must be obtained before you can be seen for an office visit. Please coordinate this with your primary care physician in advance. Appointments will be rescheduled if required referrals are not received in the office by the time of your visit.

Prescription Requests
Prescriptions and refills for established patients of Orthopaedic Associates of Manhasset are routinely issued Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. You can make your request by calling our office at (516) 627-8717. In order to comply with your request, we will need to refer to your medical records. Depending on when you were last seen in the office, your physician may recommend an office visit for re-evaluation prior to dispensing new medications.
